The trains are always on time, they said. It’s rare for a train to be cancelled, they said. And I laugh because most of my transportation has been delayed, and one of my trains was cancelled. Even with all of this, I find the workers go above and beyond, not just with me, but anyone who requires assistance. The feeling of aid is potent. It makes traveling less stressful and I watch as even travelers who don’t speak English well are patiently listened to and guided so they may find safety all the way to their destination.
